If you’re a FoodBank fan living in South Africa, you will be familiar with LeadSA (www.leadsa.co.za), an initiative by Primedia – the broadcasters of 567 Cape Talk, 94.5 Highveld Radio, Talk Radio 702 and kFM – and Independent Newspapers, the publishers of The Star, The Cape Argus, the Daily News and the Pretoria News. LeadSA is a call on all South Africans to lead their lives in ways that are exemplary. It’s also a celebration of the organisations and people who have taken the lead and are serving our country in exceptional ways.
LeadSA has chosen to highlight the work of FoodBank South Africa as an excellent cause!
This is both an honour and a powerful endorsement to at least three million radio listeners and about two million newspaper readers in South Africa. Practically, it means the broadcasting of a 30-second promo highlighting our cause and LeadSA’s support for our cause. In addition, LeadSA has posted a blurb about FoodBank on its Make a Difference page (http://leadsa.co.za/difference/). So keep your ears pricked for our promos and check out LeadSA’s website.
From all of us at FoodBank SA, a big thank you to LeadSA!
We’ve no doubt that the support of LeadSA will go a long way towards not only creating awareness of the work we’re doing, but also of the problem of hunger in our country. We are grateful for every opportunity to speak up for the hungry, and to mobilise an army of leaders to join us make hunger history!
