We understand the challenges that you are facing and the difficulty of your mission but are confident in the capacity of South Africans to provide food security to their neighbors in need. Yes, there is much to do but what you have accomplished during these last two years is unmatched in the history of global food banking.
The entire GFN team is grateful to have had this historic opportunity to be of assistance. Each of us have taken home a large amount of your spirit and a little of your beautiful country with us. Welcome also to membership in the Global FoodBanking Network. As members, we will work together to create a food secure South Africa and will extend the reach of Food Banking and associated food security to other communities and countries throughout our world.
These are difficult times for so many of our neighbors but your commitment and service forecasts brighter and more hopeful tomorrows.
We know that you will continue to do your best to expand the reach and efficiency of FoodBank South Africa. The leadership of your Food Banks needs your continued participation and support as donors, advocates and volunteers. We have the highest confidence that Alan, Geoff and the Team in your National Network office and so many more Food Bankers who deliver miracles by the kilos through community Food Banks across South Africa are ready to fully leverage your support.
