FoodBank South Africa supplies food to almost 1,100 agencies (community-based non-profit organisations) with over 203,000 beneficiaries throughout South Africa. These agencies serve in three target areas:
- Child & Youth Development (pre-schools, foster care, shelters for orphans and vulnerable children and school feeding schemes) account for 42% of agencies
- Adult Development (nutritional feeding centres and soup kitchens serving unemployed persons, HIV-infected persons and pregnant women) account for 40% of agencies
- Social Welfare (aged care, disabled care and care for the terminally ill) account for 18% of agencies
